Zen Spa Qlap

There are not many online reviews on this spa and let alone those in Brunei. So, i hope this review may help some of you laydies out there.

Well, i went there on 21st Jan 2009. This was my 2nd facial session after having my first one in Energy Day Spa in Great Eastern Mall last December.

Initially i had difficulty in choosing the Facial treatment in Brunei. Mainly because i don't really know whom to seek for advice and reviews from. Since i was in my holiday and mom didnt mind me in doing one, hence, i decided to just take a risk and did it at ZEN Spa in Q-lap.

My appointment was at 10.30am and I was attended by a young Filipino beautician. She was nice and friendly. Environment-wise, Zen Spa has a calming Spa theme; just like any other Spa that i have been through.

So, i chose the Basic Facial Treatment which cost B$ 40. This involves basic facial procedures such as cleansing, scrubbing, extraction (OUCH!) , masking, toning and moisturising. Unfortunately, this also excludes massage. Hence, i did not have to change into a different attire which was in a way quite convenient for me.

Extraction process was still painful to me though this was my 2nd encounter. Her comments on my skin condition was more or less the same as mentioned by my previous beautician. Oh well, tell me what to do to solve this!

The whole procedures took about 1.5 hours. 30 minutes was allocated for the masking process in which i was being left all alone in the room, doing nothing but to daydream and stared blankly at the ceiling. Thank God, i was accompanied by the background soothing music. It could have been more blissful if the massage service was offered to me. Overall, i was treated or pampered for only 1 hour.

By the end of the session, i noticed that my nose had less redness. My skin was somehow clearer temporarily. However, i experienced a breakout the day after. To date, i am not sure whether my skin has improved but i am still experiencing small bumps all over my face. Can somebody tell me whether this is normal?

Well, To sum it all, i gave the Facial Treatment to be 3.5 out 5. Recommended if you are in Brunei but im not sure whether it's the best so far that we have in town.

I would like to link THIS SITE just in case you want to read more on what Brunei can offer for facial treatments!
