when two become one...

i was just facebooking and decided to try out this particular test; "when will you get married quiz" and to my surprise, here is the result

can u actually see the date? well, it's written as 3rd Oct 2011. im quite surprised with that. honestly, i kinda like the date. simply because it's on the 3rd.. and by that time, which is in about 2 years time from now, i will be a houseman. oh, i will be 23 by then as well! kinda young for this dont u think? but then again, i am not sure whether i would be ready for this.

in addition to that, i dont think my current partner is even looking forward to get marry at that age. he is thinking of walking down the aisle in his late 20s. long way to go :(

well, honestly, it's not wrong to get married early. if i were to do so, perhaps i would not be conceiving during the first few years of marriage. i'd rather take time to be a perfect wife before entering the motherhood. my initial target to get a child is prob by the age of 26. by the age of 50, my children would be entering uni and graduate soon before i retire. hehe

one that can't be erased...

they said u will grow with time. some think that u learn more with time. i personally believe that the longer u stay here on this earth, thus the more experience that you will gain. alongside with it, you will have countless amount of memories and thoughts. at times, you really wish them to be erased forever from your cerebrum. perhaps they are the ones that have the greatest impact to your life.

however, of course as a human being, we are not born with memory card slots. we can't simply choose to delete some events in the life. this is partly because some of them help to build the characters that we are of today. these events also teach us to be more wary and cautious of the future. they remind us of our mistakes so that they are not repeated in the near future.

i like the saying that we learn from mistakes. but how much of these mistakes should we allow to make? will we ever learn from them? who should correct us? how can we make sure these mistakes are worth the pain?

as a future doctor, i am supposed to be a risk taker. i should be daring enough to make decision on my own as well as helping the others to come out with one. as an only 21-year old medical student, i am not sure whether i have developed such trait. what's even worrying is the fact that i will be dealing with patients' lives. will i be responsible enough?

personally, all these questions are the real ignitions for me to do medicine. i choose this course because i want to challenge myself as well as exploring the limits to my capabilities. i still notice my flaws all around but im hoping i can change before it's too late.

if improvements are not witnessed soon, then perhaps i should change my profession to those involving non-living things.

now, how inhumane can that be?

A is just a grade..

my current occupation is a student. thus i am expected to undergo a series of questionnaire set by the lecturers that can estimate my current standings in studies.

it is a good thing that we students have exams. through them, we are reminded to study and recall all the things that have been learnt.

so, does it mean that the good grade u get actually shows how good you are?

im sure we are familiar with past questions in this higher institution of ours. do you think that the lecturers are that hardworking to come out with new fresh questions for every group that comes in?

my dad is a lecturer and the answer is NO. just like a student, even our lecturers would find ways to cut this work short. my dad admitted that he usually recycled question papers for every upcoming batch. and he has been doing this for the past 15 years. sometimes, he would reword the questions just so that they appear to be different.

so, to all the students, please steal some moment off from your seniors and ask for the questionnaires. with the availability of the camera phone, im sure some of us would take a quick snap at them. there is no wrong with learning this way. it's education afterall! =)

babies, babies, babies...

OnG posting is all about pregnant mothers. nevertheless, one should not forget the gynae aspects of it. but then again, i am yet to explore that area. after having spent about 1 week with pregnant mothers, i can say that i am now more comfortable with the condition. i do still feel like i wanna get pregnant despite seeing all the bloody deliveries. at times i just wonder whether doctors still face complication during labour. i am sure every doctor has seen deliveries being conducted. does this actually aid them during the real procedures?

i have to say delivery is one of the most beautiful things that i have witnessed. the moment the baby comes out of the birth canal, the feeling of relief surges in. everthing happens in a split second. at that moment, one can't help but to appreciate the miracle of the starting of life. i really hope that during my turn, my husband will be there to witness it as well.

after all these, i have come out with plans for my first delivery.

1. i would deliver in a private hospital. 1st baby needs 1st class treatment hehe
2. i hope i can deliver normally via vaginal canal.
3. my husband to witness the whole delivery process
4. i need to follow my mom's regime during the postpartum period. hopefully i can regain back to my pre-pregnancy shape after that.

well, let's wait for this moment!

sicko wacko...

hanani has always been known as a girl who has low immune system. she will usually get sick on monthly basis.

i have been having cold and sore throat since last Monday. thank God, my fever is almost gone by now. i have no idea how to stop this from repeating next month. i think i have a sensitive body. could it be the fact that i dont take seafood ? this just clicked to my mind. so, this gives me the thought of starting on scott's emulsion. eeeww.. it's just gross.. i remember i had to close my nose in order to swallow it down my throat. the thick and smelly paste-like liquid is too much to handle for me.

anyway, since i was very sick on that monday morning, i went to a clinic in cyberjaya (PS : there are 2 clinics in the town currently). thank God there was no patients there so i got to see the doctor right away. to my surprise, the consultation took less than 3 minutes in total! all he did was asking me whether i got fever and cold. next, checked my throat and temperature. finally, he auscultated me. then, out you go. before i left, i asked whether it was tonsillitis. and he said it wasnt, but instead it was just a sore throat. -.-;;; like, duhh... that was the reason that i came to see u in the first place... and i know, sore throat is not a diagnosis but a symptom... i wanted to mention that i am a medical student. but i was too tired on that..

anyway, everything cost rm40 and i was given with 4 medications which i bet only cost around rm10.

1. cough syrup
2. flu medication
3. antibiotic
4. panadol

the thing is, my body is having this weird reaction. im having stomach upset as well as feeling nauseated. i felt as if im going through pregnancy symptoms. i lost my appetite and my tastebud seemed to be detecting the powdery, bitter taste of antibiotic at all time. it kinda ruined my appetite. euurghh... this is consider as the worst episode of sickness ever...

anyway, ive also been slacking from class throughout this week. week 4 is ending real soon. *gulp* tomorrow anyway.. and i stil haven't learnt much shit!! how am i going to keep up with everybody? seems like OnG is still not my piece cup of tea. ok then, ima leave for now. gotta read those piled up powerpoints! chiaw and take care of your health everyone!

show me the light...

honestly, i am such an insecure person. i know i have a very kind and nice boyfriend whom loyalty cannot be underestimated. he really reminds me of the loyalty that i have been showing all this while. however, i have this one principle that environment can greatly changes u.

i am surrounded by people who cant seem to remain truthful and loyal to their partners. yea, as a normal human being, im sure it can be really difficult to do so. you can easily be influenced with your friends and emotions. one moment you feel that you would do anything for your loved ones, the next second you know, you withdraw that task cause somebody else has talked to you about their experience.

and this is why am always cautious with my current relationship. i noe it's not fair for having this mentality that everyone is the same. i am sure that he is not as the rest and hence, i need to appreciate him more. that is why...i need the light to stay strong in this matter.

i have experienced this hurtful event. i can still imagine the heartache that was felt after finding out the person whom u trust all this while actually has splitted his feelings for two women at the same time. i know there's a saying that sharing is caring but it's not that way when it comes to love. as a woman, i still cannot accept the Islamic rule that mentioned man can have up to 4 wives. but deep down inside, i noe this law is justified.

if he is ever reading this post, i just want him to tell him not to change who he is. stay who you are as now and keep your love and care for me as it is =)

Do'! Nut

food in Malaysia is crazy. No wonder bruneians enjoy dining out in here. KL offers food ranging from cheap and affordable meals to those of exquisite and exclusive dining.

In KL, doughnut crazy has been hitting us for the past few years ever since the introduction of JCO and Big Apple. Yea, we do have Dunkin Donuts earlier on but ever since it gave me food poisoning, my love for it has tremendously gone. Oh, don't mention me bout the hard and stale looking doughnuts too. But nevertheless, Bavarian is still in my top list from DD.

Well, i fancy J Co over Big Apple but there are certain times when Big Apple can satisfy my cravings. Hmmphh.. Just talking about this is enough to make me drool with hunger.

Latest thing to add with this doughnut crazy is the Krispy Kreme which originates from the US. it recently opened its first branch in Berjaya Times Square on 27st April 2009. So, i took the opportunity to try it during the weekend.

The staff was all friendly. Radly and I were lucky enough to get each freeOriginal Glazed Krispy Kreme from one of the workers. It wasnt that bad after all. So then we bought another 4; Hershey's cookies and cream, Cappucino Kreme, Chocolate Iced Krispy filled and Chocolate Iced Custard. Each costs rm2.50, slightly more expensive than other Doughnut brands out there.

To my disappointment, the doughnuts were extremely sweet. It felt as if i was eating a sugar solution. It made me to go back to Big Apple and have that "alien" named doughnut. well, maybe Malaysians should inform them of this and it will not disappoint me again on my next visit.

well, this is only based on my experience. Maybe they will improve over time. Service wise, it was superb. Maybe it was due to its first week of opening. So, you guys can go ahead and check it here...

wanting to be miss feminine...

it is every woman's dream to have flawless, glowy and smooth skin. Sometimes, it can be frustrating to flip through the magazines when all of the models featured are defectless and have fascinating figures and skin texture.

i am one of those unfortunate who face with acne crisis. They seem to always be popping up in the t-zone area. Things worsen especially when my "monthly" bestfriend is about to reappear. i have tried switching from many different cosmetic products but none seem to be fully effective so far.

i have tried to make my mom to sponsor for those more pricy products. however, she always reminded me to be thankful to God and at least to be glad the fact that i do not suffer from any skin diseases. true enough, she got a point there.

nevertheless, i do wanna be those pretty looking models out there. i wanna show to my baby that i can be pretty.

but

snap back to reality Nani!

You have
- flabby and "kek lapis" looking tummy
- zits that successfully grab people's attention
- meaty and chunky arms and forearms

Anyone with good and cheap fashion tips, please please, give them to me =)
