Facial #3 - Yves Roucher, Sunway Pyramid.

I've decided that i should start my facial regime on regular basis. Come to think of it, it could be worthy to spend a lil amount of money for beauty. Since the other half's brother's wedding is in this July, he wants me to look smashingly fabulous by then. I guess he wants me to impress his family members.

So, after surveying quite a number of beauty parlours in town, i think Yves Rocher suits my criteria the best. It is not too cheap and at the same time, it doesn't make me to starve in order to save up the money. The products sold are within my budget range (if the beauticians ever forced me to buy some) and they are organics. They are French products by the way. In addition to that, this review further favoured me to opt for this instead.

Since this was my 1st trial, i went for the individual facial which cost RM 165 (Botanical Intensive Treatment + Eye Contour Treatment). They do have package of 4 for RM428 which mathematically means that it is only RM107 per session. I did not dare to sign up for the package right away since i wanted to give it a try priorhand.

So, first of all i was asked to change into the top that was provided. Then, the beautician started off the regime by applying cleanser and followed by deep-cleansing. The latter was something new since an electrical stuff was used for it. It uses ion charges to extract the dirt out of the skin. Then, she proceeded with the scrub and steamer to open the pores. Once this was done, then here comes the painful procedure of em all; EXTRACTION.

As expected, it was a nightmare. It was less painful than my 1st facial session but it felt almost the same as the one that i did in ZEN-SPA. I was quite embarrassed the fact that she spent about 30minutes doing this. There must be a whole lot of whiteheads! Im sure she was exhausted by then.

After this was done, the next procedure was the anti-septic. Again, she used this another electrical brush thingy and wiped it across my face. Painless but it was quite awkward for me. Next, she applied serum on my face and followed by the pampering shoulder massage. Though it was only for about 5 minutes, it was very refreshing! Finally was the eye-gel and mask before i was left alone in the room for bout 10 minutes for the peel-off mask to dry.

The whole session was supposed to be only 1hr 15minutes but mine was 30 minutes longer than expected. Though i ended up looking like a tomato with the redness afterwards, i could clearly see the difference with the blackheads. Thank God, this time, i only experienced a few breakouts. Little damage was done since i did not see many scars forming due to the extraction.

I'll say for RM165 and to be experiencing numerous treatments within the time period was all worthy. The beautician, Kak Siti was also friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout. She seemed to know what she was doing. I guess im gonna sign up for the package soon!

grease free!

monk - rare to see guys who are hygienic but this guy does it way over the top

emma pillsbury - the cutest OCD patient i've ever seen

I seem to have this one problem that kinda bugs me. this involves with dirt.

I don't think i am suffering from severe OCD but it really irritates me to see dirt in my house. There are times that i don't like to see things lying around purposelessly.

Perhaps, this happened due to the fact that i decorated the interiors and i kinda know where things should be placed in.

Other than that, i also face this "perfectionist" habit when it comes to cooking. Somehow, i like things to be in order and i hate it when the washed dishes still have the oil stain on them. I mean, eeeeuuwww! how would it feels like if you place that spoon on your favourite ice-cream? wouldn't it taste absolutely horrible? that's my point! why don't we clean them properly then?

however, due to this unhealthy habit, it takes me longer to finish cleaning the dishes. at times, my palm would experience the burning pain due to the acidic soap. i know i should let loose of this. but then again, i know i have been experiencing this even during my early years as a kid.

hmmphh.. bad habits die slow. i just need to make sure that i don't convert into severe OCD patient.

all about love

So, it was a Valentine's Day.

This year, we had decided to just spend the day by preparing special meals together. We spent about 3 hours preparing for the complete course meal comprising of appetisers, 2 main courses and desert.

Appetiser : Double Baked Potatoes

Main Courses : Chicken Kiev & Chicken and Cheese Quesadillas

Desert : Chocolate Lava Cake

Drink : Sprite + Ribena

Result : Everything tasted great except for the Chicken Kiev. Well, it would have tasted better if i used less butter in it. Meanwhile, Quesadillas and Double baked potatoes were amazing. Chocolate Lava Cake on the other tasted exactly as that in the Divo Panini restaurant at the Curve.

Well, i now realise that it is way cheaper to do them all by yourself rather than ordering them at the restaurants. Nevertheless, the tiring part is definitely the cleaning up. However, with the existence of caring partner who also helped along throughout the kitchen process made it absolutely worthy.

It was the most delicious Valentine ever!

PS : sorry for lack of photos. the food was so tempting that i absolutely forgot to snap them. Recipes can be found in the Videojug!

im not a doc, not yet a Dr

back in UBD, i was taught that it is wrong to call yourself as a Dr when you are still a student. Whenever everyone calls you as a Dr, you should politely correct them and show how humble you can be as a medical student.

However, since im already in the 4th year, should i start to get used to the title? I've seen some of my friends who have already starting to put that title in their names. Somehow, i still think that they don't deserve to use that word yet.

With the lack of knowledge in me, i don't think i deserve to use that name at all. Furthermore, that title also bears a huge responsibility that i have to carry. Something that i don't think i can handle it well. Looking at my current attitude in studying, i don't think my lecturers would even bless me to use the word Dr .

So, Call me a Doc, once i've obtained my MBBS. or perhaps, once i can utilise the knowledge confidently and efficiently.

Once in a 4 year opportunity!

For the first time in my life, i had a close encounter with the World Cup Trophy. Thanks to Coca Cola for bringing the opportunity here to KL.

It seems like the fever is getting worse! The cure is only 129 days away!

theme song of the world cup!
