the animal in me

a controversial title? hahaha well, think not.

a few days back, i was watching the Oprah show; one of my fav TV shows ever since i was young. in fact my earliest memory on that is as early as in form 1. i would be watching it with my parents after lunch since it aired at 1pm on weekdays. While enjoying the show, we would at times, took this opportunity to enjoy desert such as Kinderbueno or ice cream.

so, back to the topic, the theme for this episode was on the Earth day and she made a coverage on an Award winning for Best Documentary, the "Cove". it was a documentary-made-into-film on dolphin slaughtering in Taiji, Japan. i never realised how cute dolphins are until i came across this movie. the sad part is that, i also witnessed a brutal way of killing these harmless creatures in the hidden terrains of Taiji which was described to be "the cove".

"the murder scene"

i cant imagine how heartless they can be despite hearing the cries of the dolphins during the "killing sessions". what is in their minds upon seeing the pool of bloods, flooding the lake? fortunately, the film can now be seen globally and changes are being made. it will take time and many lives will be taken along the way, but im sure, something will be done on this.

to those who seem to care, please do sign in the petition to end this ruthless act. being a human being doesn't only involve to love HUMAN beings and promote world peace but also to those of other God's creations; animals and the nature. it's time to repay the kindness of our ecosystem.

Let’s get right, okay (okay)!

It's the last day of our semester break for this year before undergoing 2nd Professional Exams which is less than 4 months' away. Though we will be having 3 weeks of study break for it, i know the preparation should have started from today, or perhaps, even 6 months back.

Im sure, this time around, all of my batchmates will start to put their goals and time more in the exams. Nevertheless, i cant be sure of that. Being a student, procrastination is very synonymous in our lifestyle. We tend to regret this choice later on and will start to make promises to start studying early and work hard for the studies but heck, this rarely happens.

Some of the junior doctors that i have met usually "advice" me to enjoy my student life as much as possible since career-hood will not be as "relaxing" as that. Well, it seems likely that i need to gear myself for mental and physical challenges for the next 40 years unless i hit a jackpot and win a gazillion RMs for me to live with.

Anyhow, i should have known better. I chose to take this path and hence i should adjust my mindset for this. Less whining, more to study should be the motto. Come to think about it, I'm already in the 9th semester. Im already close to the end of the tunnel.

lifetime mortgage

They have been taking the roles of being parents for the past 23 years.

Throughout the time, they have never been tired or giving up in bearing the responsibility.

The money they've spent and the time they have sacrificed are amountful.

I know i have not always been a good child to you both.

Nevertheless, i pray to God that i can ease your burden one day and repay everything that you have given me.

O God, please give them the strength and provide them with healthy lives in order to carry on the days.

I can't wait for the days when you both no longer have to work hard and hence, being able to live the life like you are supposed to.

grumpy

this year, i am spending my Syawal in KL, Malaysia.

for the past 3 years, Raya is not how it used to be. Our routine now includes shop-hopping, surrounded with a sea of non-muslims on the 1st day of Hari Raya. You don't even get to wear baju raya for the matter.

sucks big time.

i miss convoying with friends for house visits. i miss eating the Raya cakes. and of course, i miss receiving those green packets.

i think i'll turn into miss grinch real soon. is there any such ideology in our tradition?

irreplaceable but damn...

The late Heath Ledger has long left us. I miss looking at that cheeky smile and his prominent jaws.

but then, this guy also seems to have his features. aahh... hotness!

nobody has it easy

this thing can never be easy.

the way it toys your emotion around.

making you feel wrong for even having doubts about it.

this thing needs a lot of courage and emotional strength.

i pray to God that i will never lose them.

show me the light, give me the support.
